Future Faces featured in the theatre in February 2003. Pictured on the left are the cast performing an 'Abba' section.

In March 2003, our very own West Side Story set was dug out again and brought back to life for Belfairs High School and their production of the famous show based on Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. The age range of the cast was 11 to 16, and each and every one of them put on a superb performance capturing the essence of the story beautifully.

The Little Theatre Club came to the Empire in May with their productions of 'Anything Goes'. The set was huge and only just fitted on our stage, but looked fantastic and provided the perfect setting for another great show from the LTC.

The Empire was transformed into a Rock venue in May for a showcase of local bands, including Swivel, Cisco in the Aquariam, Twilight Superfish and Gozer. A (very loud) good night was had by all as local talent got a chance to show itself in front of a live audience.

On 21st June 2003 David Street performed with friends in 'An Audience with David Street'. Featuring with female impersonator David were vocalists Claire Wright and Julie-Dawn Anderson and our very own vocalist/musician Rob Turner, as well as a supporting cast of dancers.
