From M25 junction 29 follow the A127

Stay on the A127, for about 40 miles East, past Rayleigh Weir junction, Progress Road junction, Kent Elms Corner, Tescos Roundabout, The Bell Pub traffic lights, until you reach a large roundabout (Cuckoo Corner). Take the third exit, following the A127 downhill towards a set of traffic lights, with Priory Park on your left.

Follow the road through three more sets of traffic lights, past Southend Library on the left, until you reach another roundabout.


Take the first exit (turning left), keep to the left and take the slipway off at the next junction. You will arrive at a large roundabout, where you need to take the fourth exit (turning right). Follow this road straight on now until you reach a set of traffic lights, with Pizza Hut on the opposite corner to Frankie & Benny's american diner.

Turn left at these traffic lights, and follow the road down through a pelican crossing, under the railway bridge, and at the next set of traffic lights after the bridge turn right.

The road takes you across Southend High Street (which is pedestrianised), follow the road and shortly you will see Southend Central train station on the right.

At the next turning, turn left into Clarence Road, there is a car park on the right hand side and you are now in the one way system.

At the end of Clarence Road (there is a car wash opposite), you turn left and the theatre is on the left opposite another car park.

For the STAGE DOOR and LOADING BAY, the rear of the theatre is situated in Clarence Street, which is the second turning on the left down Clarence Road, opposite the entrance to the car park. The theatre is the large building on the right, the Stage Door is clearly marked.






From M25 junction 30 follow the A13

Stay on the A13 East to Southend for approx. 30 miles. This takes you past Five Bells junction, Basildon and Pitsea junctions.

You will arrive at Saddler's Farm Roundabout, recognisable because it is 5 mini roundabouts surrounding one big one. You can go left or right, if you go left, take the third exit, if you go right, take the second exit. Either way, follow the signs for A13 Southend, which takes you through South Benfleet.

Follow the A13, up a long slow hill and onwards until you reach another large roundabout after about 2 miles. Take the second exit, keeping to the A13 to Southend, following through Hadleigh with more traffic lights.

Stay on the A13, for about 5 miles. You will pass Westleigh Schools on the right and Chalkwell Schools a couple of miles further on the right, followed by Chalkwell Park.

Having passed Chalkwell Park you will carry on the A13, through the traffic lights by the Palace Theatre on the right hand side.

Go across the next set of traffic lights (Hamlet Court Road).

At the next set, by The Cricketer's Pub, turn right, off the A13 and into Milton Road. Follow down Milton Road (towards the Sea), over the railway, and at a traffic island the road bends round to the left.

Follow the road round to the left, and drive alongside the railway (on your left) for about a mile, keeping to the railway, until you reach a turning where you can only go right, into Clarence Road, with Saks wine bar on one corner and the Amina Restaurant On the other.

Continue down Clarence Road, where there is a car park on your right, and at the end of Clarence Road, turn left and the Theatre is on your left opposite another Car Park.
