Dan's Mini's
This page is currently under construction, but for any mini enthusiasts out there this may whet your appetite for now.
My favourite car is the good old mini. I own two of these, one being a 1970 Mini Cooper. The other, a 1961 Morris Mini which has been re-shelled and extensively modified. Shown above is a picture of the engine in its current form. It is a standard Series 'A' Mini Cooper 'S' engine, which has been bored out to a capacity of 1480cc. It has a lightened and balanced crank shaft and rods, racing pistons, a fully modified head with big valves, roller rocker set, a 285 cam and adjustable cam belt drive. The engine sits on a five speed straight cut gearbox.

Shown here it is fitted with a garret TO3 Turbo Charger, although it is not fitted at present due to the fact that I had to get the vehicle on the road in a bit of a hurry.
The vehicle has been lengthened by 83 mm to allow a front fitting radiator. It is equipped with disc brakes all round and twin fuel tanks. The engine, fuel, and alarm systems are controlled by a computer designed, built and constructed by myself.
In the construction and modification of my minis, I undertake all of my own engineering (i.e welding, grinding, milling, turning and component fabrication in my own workshops)

My 1970 Mini Cooper is currently off the road. I hope to restore it one day!
